Buck-Boost Converter
CASPOC Schematic
Components
Vin = 48V
Vout can be higher or lower than the input voltage
The Inductor L11=266uH with a series resistor 100m
The Capacitor C1=100n with a series resisgtor of 100m
Load resistor R1=1ohm
The output voltage can be Boosted by increasing the on time of the Mosfet. duty cycle can be set to 0.7
The output voltage can be Stepdown/Buck by decreasing the on time of the Mosfet. duty cycle can be set to 0.3
Questions and remarks
It is assumed :
Buck converter operates in the steady state
Buck converter operates in continuous model
SCOPE 1:
The output voltage on the Buck-Boost Converter is reversed. we measure negative violtage
Dark blue gragh ---> represents the Voltage output
Red gragh ---> current measurement across the Inductor
Changing the value of inductor L1=100uH the time taken by the capacitor to reach its max voltage is slower.
Changing the value of Capacitor affects the ripple voltage
SCOPE 2:
Represents the current across the capacitor
